Master the art of riding these splendid machines on a tour through Westminster in central London. After meeting us at London Scottish House, 95 Horseferry Road, Westminster, SW1P 2DX, we will introduce you to the Penny Farthing bicycle, provide you with your equipment including helmets and let you know what you will be doing during the experience. Then we will head out onto the streets where you will learn to safely mount, ride and dismount. Keen to ride more? After a short coffee break, we will head out on a leisurely guided journey around the Westminster area, past many iconic locations such as the Palace of Westminster, Parliament Square, Churchill War Rooms, the gardens of 10 Downing Street and Buckingham Palace. After a short photo stop we will then roll on back to London Scottish House and return to the present day! IMPORTANT NOTE: This sporting experience is physically demanding and therefore only recommended for people with a reasonable level of fitness and those under the age of retirement. You must be at least 5ft 3in (160 cm) tall, weigh less than 100 kgs (220 Lbs) and be in good physical shape. It helps if guests are already competent and confident bike riders on public roads.

Learn the art of wax carving and sculpting to form your very own unique silver ring, in this widely used jewellery making technique. Carving wax gives you endless options to freely design whatever ring you want, as you are not limited to a silver wire or strip. This technique allows you to create something 3D, abstract, classic, chunky, geometric or organic, so you can let your imagination run wild! The workshop begins with a short introduction to the lost wax process and its uses. We will inform you about basic tips and tricks on how to design a comfortable ring. Showing you various techniques and tools that can be used. You will then start by designing/sketching out your ring, (samples and images will be available for inspiration) before beginning to carve your wax. Once you’re happy with your finished carving we will show you how to prepare it for casting. After the workshop your wax carved ring will be cast, finished and polished by The Ringsmiths using recycled silver. You will be contacted once it’s ready for collection or we can post it out to you. If you wish to have your ring gold plated, stone set, engraved or have your wax cast in solid gold then this will be at an additional cost and can be paid for and decided on the day (adds extra lead time) Your finished silver ring will be ready for collection or posting within 3 working weeks after the class.

We will head to Buckingham Palace to watch the world famous Changing of the Guard. The Changing the Guard begins on the forecourt of Buckingham Palace at 10.45am sharp following a march by a detachment of the Old Guard, with musical support, from St. James's Palace and the New Guard led by a Regimental Band from Wellington Barracks. The Changing of the Guard ceremony lasts for approximately 45 minutes. It is an incredible sight to behold and us British know how to do all the pomp and glory very well. Join me as we venture into the magical wizarding world of Harry Potter in London! On this walking tour of London's streets we will watch clips from the movies while I regale you with behind-the-scenes stories of those locations and how they were used in the film series. Our first stop will be the entrance to Diagon Alley, before we pop down to see the Ministry of Magic, and find out which Leaky Cauldron has the best tacos, as well as others I don't want to spoil here. I will also share some of the strangest, funniest non-HP facts I've learned about London along the way. We will finish at Borough Market, London's top street food destination, with King's Cross just a separate Tube ride away. PLEASE be aware the tour is offered in English only, and it is largely story-based, so a better-than-basic conversational grasp of English is essential. While witches and wizards of all ages are welcome, due to the amount of walking and the content, I more recommend it for ages 11+. Strictly one person per slot. No exceptions.
